On My Radar: Week 2

Sorry to have this post come so late after the weekend! It was definitely a good weekend, but I was busy working and driving around, so I didn’t have a chance to get this post finished. Sorry!

It’s been a good week for the internet, so this is definitely a feel-good post. But be forewarned, this is a video-heavy post. And so, in no particular order, here’s what’s on my radar:

ONE // Secrets by Mary Lambert

Have you heard this song? She basically sums up my life and my feelings about a lot of things. To sum it up, she tells us not to hide who we are, and that she doesn’t care (nor should we) what her (or our) secrets are. It’s all about embracing ourselves as we are, flaws and all. Give it a listen.

TWO // This poster that is just in time for Halloween.

Alfonso Ribeiro (aka Carlton) and his pro dance partner Witney Carson appeared on Dancing With the Stars last week and did the dance move that all Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fans have been waiting for: The Carlton.

Here’s the original:

Here’s the DWTS version:

And if you’re a nerd like me, a League of Legends fan, or just plain curious, watch this big spider from League of Legends do the Carlton:

And last but definitely not least…

FOUR // Alexander the Great’s Father has been found.

I came across this article from the Stuff You Missed in History Class Podcast’s Facebook page (it’s a great podcast, check it out). I love hearing about the latest archaeological discoveries, so clearly, I’m excited. Also, I was happy to learn that his name was King Philip II of Macedonia. I just finished reading the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan, and was happy to figure out that a character was named after the king (huzzah for synchronicity!).

That’s all for now! I have at least two more posts for this week ready to go, so keep checking in.

Take care everyone, and keep reading!
